Which I believe that they should have notified the families of the change before implementing it. And when I get there the concierge told me that they were converting the memory care entrance to the sales office. So the last straw for me was when I pulled up around 7:00 pm after working all day I get out of my car and as I am walking up to the door I look into the window and one of the other family members waves for me to go around to the front door. I have had back surgery and both hips replaced and it can sometimes be a struggle for me to walk that far. I try to only stay an hour so that I can leave before the concierge leaves so that I can get out to my car without having to walk all the way up front and try to find someone to let me out through the front door. I go there after work around 7:00 pm and park at the east side memory care entrance. I work full time and go visit my dad 5 days a week. If not for the awesome concierges and other family members telling me about the changes after the fact I would know nothing. The communication there between the facility and the families are almost non existence. They have made promises saying that they are working on making things better but there is no follow through and things have only gotten worse. They are always understaffed and Im sure they do not pay them enough for all that they do. All of the staff are so caring but always changing which is not good for memory care residents. But for paying almost $6,000 a month I dont believe it is worth the money. We love the staff and the the residents and their families. Me and my dad felt like this place was home. For the first few months things were great and then they changed the general manager and it has gotten progressively worse since. That this was going to be my Dads new home. I then took a couple of our family members to get their opinion and they loved the place so my decision was made. I moved my father into memory care in March of 2019 because l fell in love with the staff and the facility as soon as I toured it. I would not recommend placing a loved one in this facility.
